The Loreley poem by the German poet Heinrich Heine (1797–1856), set to music by the German composer Friedrich Silcher (1789-1860) is offered here in three versions:
- In German – the original poem, performed by the German singer-songwriter Karan Troubadoura, who performed and recorded it exclusively for Gunivortus’ Loreley-project.
- In English – in a beautiful translation by Mark Twain (A Tramp Abroad, 1880). The presented song here was created by Gunivortus, who first played the melody on his computer using a “piano” program, then used other tools—some of them online—to adjust the rhythm and change of the instrument (to remove the piano), and saved it as an MP3. After that, the lyrics and the MP3 were uploaded to a (paid) online service, and their AI program was used to turn it into a song.
- In Dutch, in a Gunivortus translation. Further, the presented song here was created with the same procedures as the English version.
