Boudicca

Today, as I pen these words, it is December 25, 2024. Another year is nearly behind us, and what a tumultuous one it has been on both international and national fronts, with many events that are far from uplifting. Closest to my home in Western Europe, we have witnessed the dreadful consequences of unchecked territorial ambition from Putin Khan.

On a personal level much has also unfolded, and thankfully, most of it has been positive. While I’ll keep the deeply personal matters private, I am thrilled to share that I have nearly completed a new book. This project has been particularly close to my heart. The website, “Boudicca’s Bard,” has been around for almost 30 years, and its name reflects my fascination with Boudicca, the royal figure from 1st-century Britain.
The non-fiction book about this queen has been crafted simultaneously in German, English, and Dutch. Alongside historical insights, it offers a wealth of reflections, all beautifully complemented by numerous illustrations, several of which are truly one-of-a-kind. The three editions are expected to be released in spring 2025.

Beyond this, I currently have no concrete plans as an author. There are still a few items on my to-do list, such as writing articles for this website and maybe translating some of my previous works into other languages.

Ideas and suggestions are always welcome.
